I calculated that the sum of all main characters spent a grand total of 17 calories throughout the story. Mostly because one of them trots about 5 yards somewhere in the first half. Drama ? More likely. You'll mostly watch brothers talking gravely and crying in each other's arms. There's also 1 woman, and she's in a love angle.
Rock based movies are revered and admired in Hollywood, but Bollywood hasn't been too kind to this genre. Vipul Shah's LONDON DREAMS failed to cut ice, despite the presence of top notch names, but ROCK ON! was a moderate success, with the urban audiences giving the film a second and third dekho. The film couldn't penetrate into the heartland, though. Imtiaz Ali has always managed to strike the right balance between the hoi polloi and the gentry. Movies like JAB WE MET and LOVE AAJKAL are proof that the enormously talented raconteur won't attempt a film if he's not fully convinced about it.
Four Two Ka One Movie Review, Trailer, & Show timings at Times of India
Story: Two friends steal a mysterious bag, hoping it would change their fortune. Do things work out as per their plan? Movie Review: Four Two Ka One , 'the title' reminded us of Shah Rukh Khan starrerOne 2 ka 4(2001). While there is nothing common between the two,Four Two Ka Onealso looks like a film which belongs to the past decade. The film is a comedy with a message. Speaking of comedy, the humour is clean and works in parts, although most of it looks dated and naive. The execution and treatment given to the film doesn't look like it's been made keeping the present-day audience in mind.
Kulfi (Vada Curry)
Debutant Saravana Rajan, former associate of Venkat Prabhu, is someone who knows how to survive in the industry with cut-throat competition. He makes his directorial debut Vadacurry look like a mirror image of his master’s style of filmmaking and I’m sure Venkat Prabhu, who also played a small role in the film, would’ve appreciated his effort. Instead of attempting to do something out of the box, Saravana faithfully apes his master in producing a film that has all the commercial elements intact. The film has an interesting premise, about a guy who gets embroiled in a situation when he claims ownership of a phone that doesn’t belong to him.
Movie Review: Ranatantra
Scary and full of surprises The real suspense regarding the filmRanatantrawas its genre. The title and posters showcased it as an action film. The film starts as a romance and soon seems to be turning into a class struggle between the poor boy and the rich girl's father. Then, unexpectedly, it turns into a horror film. There is some suspense with the mysterious death of several girls. And, to round it off, a dose of cultural therapy. However, there are enough scares and thrills that make the trip to the theatre worthwhile. The love story is briefly delt with.
Gayby: Film Review
PROVINCETOWN, Mass. – ImagineThe Next Best Thingwith a funnier script and a real actress instead of Madonna as the baby mama, and you’re in the approximate vicinity ofGayby. But to be fair, writer-director Jonathan Lisecki’s disarmingly modest indie feature is its own cute creature. Chronicling the bumpy formation of an alternative family, the sweet-natured comedy is flavored by warm characters, an appealing cast and tangy observations on friendship, dating and relationships – gay and straight. Expanded by Lisecki from his widely shown short film,Gaybyis already a festival favorite.

Sushi Girl (2012) - IMDb
Learn moreEdit Fish has spent six years in jail. Six years alone. Six years keeping his mouth shut about the robbery, about the other men involved. The night he is released, the four men he protected with silence celebrate his freedom with a congratulatory dinner. The meal is a lavish array of sushi, served off the naked body of a beautiful young woman. The sushi girl seems catatonic, trained to ignore everything in the room, even if things become dangerous. Sure enough, the four unwieldy thieves can't help but open old wounds in an attempt to find their missing loot.

This movie made me loose all the shame I had gone through by watching mediocre Kannada movies in recent times. You might ask what it offered in the name of cinematic excellence. Well, for starters, the cinematography. It is on par with any movie making technique known to the world.
