X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) - IMDb

7 wins & 37 nominations. See more awards » Learn moreEdit When a cure is created, which apparently can turn any mutant into a normal human being, there is outrage amongst the mutant community. Whilst some mutants do like the idea of a cure, including Rogue, many mutants find that there shouldn't be a cure. Magneto, who still believes a war is coming, recruits a large team of mutants to take down Warren Worthington II and his cure. Might seem easy for the X-Men to stop, but Magneto has a big advantage, which Wolverine doesn't have. Jean Grey has returned, and joined with Magneto.

Alice in Wonderland Movie Review (2010)

Disney presents a film directed by Tim Burton. Written by Linda Woolverton, based on the books Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll. Running time: 108 minutes. Rated PG (for fantasy action/violence involving scary images and situations, and a smoking caterpillar). As a young reader, I found Alice in Wonderland creepy and rather distasteful. Alice's adventures played like a series of encounters with characters whose purpose was to tease, puzzle and torment her. Few children would want to go to wonderland, and none would want to stay.

Inferno (aka) review

After Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons, it’s Dan Brown’s last book, Inferno that is seeing its conversion to a motion picture. Directed by Ron Howard with Tom Hanks reprising his role as Robert Langdon, the film also has Irrfan Khan, Ben Foster, Felicity Jones and Sidse Babett Knudsen among others in important roles. As expansive as the book was, this is how the movie proved to be:   What is it about? The film has Dante’s Inferno, the 11th-century Italian poet's interpretation of hell in the afterlife, as its point of focus. It also presents a rather disturbing fact : while the world’s population saw a steady rise through ages, it has in recent times acquired explosive expansion.

Movie Review - - FILM REVIEW; A 50's Picket Fence Around Love -

At the beginning of ''Far From Heaven,'' the camera drifts downward toward the tidy streets of Hartford, through a screen of blood-red maple leaves. It is autumn 1957, and like the New England foliage, the people of Hartford are chilled into vivid, lurid color by the frost of middle-class, midcentury propriety. The bright clothes they wear, the baroque interiors of their houses, the jarring pastel tones of their enormous cars all stand in contrast to the constriction of their emotional lives and the narrow range of expression their bizarre, disconcertingly familiar world allows.

The first thing one would notice in Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles is how incredibly gorgeous the computer-generated visuals are, at least compared to other Filipino productions. Opening with a shot of apologetic soon-to-be-father Makoy (Dingdong Dantes) cramped inside a tricycle with an old woman and her haul of various innards, the film immediately showcases how perfectly rendered the digitally-rendered background is, with the overloaded vehicle breezing through vast landscapes that seem to be exaggerated depictions of what is really out there.

While an imposter, Kamal gets to experience a life normally not granted men of his station and meets a beautiful girl and falls in love with her. But, like all good things, this brief excursion into paradise must end. The movie is set against the backdrop of vast urban unemployment among educated youth in the India of the Eighties. While peppered with numerous comic incidents, the movie is quite serious in adressing its central theme.
