The quantitative preparation of several solutions and subsequent measurement of the solution absorbance using a spectrophotometer are the techniques that will be used in this experiment. The absorbance measurement gives the concentration of FeSCN2+. The concentrations of Fe3+ and SCN -are obtained as the difference between the initial concentration and the concentration consumed by the formation of the FeSCN2+.

Man killed in crash on Highway 30 identified

MADISON, Wis. - A man killed in a crash Sunday night on Highway 30 in Madison is identified as a Cottage Grove man. Madison police said a 37-year-old man died and two other people were sent to the hospital after a four-vehicle crash on Highway 30 and Fair Oaks Avenue in Madison. The crash was reported at 4:51 p. m.  The man killed in the crash was identified Tuesday by the Dane County Medical Examiner as Kirk M. U'Ren. He was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy showed U'Ren died as a result of the injuries he suffered in the crash, according to a release from the medical examiner.
